Leo Oosterweghel, Director Dublin Zoo
“You’ve exceeded my wildest dreams – you can quote me on that”
“Easy Tiger Creative were wonderful to work with on Zoorassic World, our latest education space in Dublin Zoo. Their design brief to create engaging interpretation for families and school children while respecting the integrity of a historic building and habitats for living reptiles was challenging. They delivered on this task on time and with ease. The results of their innovative design, careful planning and attention to detail have been very positive for our organisation. Visitors coming to experience this episodic story of reptiles past and present are wowed each and every day by the layout and quality of the interpretation. Dublin Zoo would highly recommend Easy Tiger Creative to any future clients.”
Ellena Grillo and Kelly Richards,
Exhibition Managers
Oxford University Museum of Natural History
“Thank you so much for all your amazing work on the Meat The Future exhibition. You went above and beyond to get this exhibition designed and sent to production – we are so appreciative. The exhibition looks fantastic, and I can see our visitors really enjoying the look of the gallery. The neon sign shines out across the museum – it’s brilliant”
Eric Eislund, General Manager
MC Exhibits, LLC and Nelson Mandela Exhibition UK Ltd
On behalf of Chief Mandela and the entire exhibition producing and project team, I want to thank you for the creativity, hard work and dedicated focus that you and the entire Easy Tiger team committed to the Nelson Mandela exhibition project from start to finish.
This was never an easy project to work on and you both rolled with the punches to repeatedly make lemonade despite the delivery of crate after crate of lemons. Fortunately, the end exhibition product is excellent as attested to by everyone involved in the project and most importantly, by the pages of positive visitor comments collected from sixteen guest books placed at the end of the exhibition walk thru. I also want to specifically recognize the fact your work was key to helping us deliver on our initial concept objective to give each visitor an immersive experience with much more impact than just a pure object and panel based history lesson.
I will not hesitate to contact you both and the Easy Tiger team to work on future projects. I would also be happy to speak with prospective clients that you may be speaking to in the future to recommend your services.”
Mike Day, Being Brunel Project Manager SS Great Britain Trust
“Easy Tiger Creative were our exhibition and setworks designer for our award winning, new museum, Being Brunel. The museum celebrates the life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and was built alongside the SS Great Britain in Bristol. We were delighted with their design work, their attention to detail and their willingness to work to our exacting requirements. They fully grasped the brief and our vision for the project and made it a reality. They were imaginative, creative, great at problem solving, flexible and also good fun to work with. We would have no hesitation in working with them on future projects.”
Ross Fraser
The Blair Partnership
“I had the pleasure of working with the team at Easy Tiger when we alongside the British Library enlisted their skills to execute the Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition.
Easy Tiger are one of those rare creative forces who are insightful, assiduous and exciting in their endeavours but also collaborative, engaging and an absolute pleasure to work with as company.
We were thrilled to have their expertise, their insight and experience proved invaluable in delivering a world-class exhibition which has gone on to successfully tour internationally.”
Julian Harrison, Lead Curator, Medieval Historical Manuscripts
The British Library
“I was the Lead Curator for the British Library’s exhibition, Harry Potter: A History of Magic (2017– 18), which was designed by Easy Tiger. This was the Library’s most successful exhibition, in terms of visitor numbers and audience satisfaction. Every session of every day throughout the run was sold out, and the exhibition subsequently transferred to New York and is due to open in Japan in 2021 (postponed from 2020).
Easy Tiger was responsible for the exhibition design in London, and it was a pleasure to work alongside them. They created an immersive design that was universally well-received, both by our visitors and our exhibition partners. Each room was based around one of the subjects studied at Hogwarts (Potions, Herbology, Divination etc), and was complemented, for instance, with lighting in the shape of cauldrons or plant pots and other engaging touches. You can see the result on the Google Arts and Culture Harry Potter site.
There were many challenges associated with curating and designing the exhibition, not least the short timescale and the requirement to have every decision scrutinised and signed off by J.K. Rowling’s representatives and our other key partners. Easy Tiger always met their deadlines and were responsive and positive when individual pieces of work needed to be revisited. The final design was to everyone’s satisfaction and made the exhibition such a joy to work on.
I’d heartily recommend working with Easy Tiger.”
Louise White, Project and Content Manager London Transport Museum
“It was a pleasure to work with Easy Tiger on the design and build of the All Aboard Family Galleries at London Transport Museum. As a team of design and interpretation specialists, they work together seamlessly to develop and deliver a clear, engaging concept. They interpreted the brief with playfulness and ambition appropriate to the high expectations of our family audience, while ensuring they delivered on time and on budget.
Easy Tiger researched a variety of options for build materials, ensuring both best value for money and durability for heavy (and creative!) use by family audiences. They maintained clear communication with the project manager throughout and took a solution-focused approach, developing creative responses to challenges and queries.
A strong collections link was essential, as a focus on role play meant that few collection items were included. To this end Easy Tiger produced a design sympathetic to the surrounding displays and vehicles. They developed a strong visual identity with animals from our posters collection, which are extremely popular with all ages and have strong retail potential. They also included hidden historic environments in ‘history peeps’ to cater for children at the top of the target age range.
Easy Tiger were an extremely inspiring, professional and personable team, and their creativity has transformed the Family Galleries at London Transport Museum.”
Dominique Driver, Interpretation Project Manager
Historic Royal Palaces, Tower of London
“Easy Tiger Creative have been a pleasure to work with on the Coins & Kings project at the Tower of London. They fulfilled the role of both 3D and graphic design on the project from early concept work over two years before opening through to final detailed design and always had a professional and most importantly, can-do approach.
Being a world heritage site and also a place of residence, putting exhibitions on at the Tower has many unique design and build challenges. Appointing designers who can be flexible and accommodating in the design process and respectful of the history and nature of the site is therefore particularly important to us and Easy Tiger rose to this challenge brilliantly whilst also managing to design a space that was fun and innovative.
Being a small design agency I was also impressed by how involved and hands-on the directors themselves are throughout the process as well as having a great team behind them. It was clear how much time and effort the whole team put into the project from tender right through to the inevitable last-minute on site trouble shooting, and their willingness to ‘pitch in’ and help solve problems even at this late stage was really appreciated.
As the interpretation manager for the project I’m genuinely proud of what we achieved together and feel that the resulting exhibition successfully realized all our project aims and objectives, whilst opening on time and on budget. I wouldn’t hesitate to appoint Easy Tiger Creative again.”
Toni Bush, Exhibition Project Manager Hexham Abbey
“The immense success of The Big Story exhibition at Hexham Abbey was the result of our partnership with Easy Tiger Creative. What was clear to us at the interview stage, and in the culmination of our project, is that Easy Tiger brings an outstanding level of creativity and original thinking to their work. They worked closely with us to develop our concepts and stories to find new, engaging perspectives and approaches which resonate with contemporary and varied audience groups.
Easy Tiger’s designs work exceptionally well on every level. The Big Story exhibition looks stunning, both in itself and in how it enhances the Grade 1 listed medieval spaces it sits within. For me a key element to Easy Tiger’s success is how their exhibition design draws in and intrigues the visitor visually and aesthetically first, rather than confronting the visitor with text as the first point of contact. Easy Tiger worked with us to create layering of information through 2D, 3D and digital elements, so that visitors regularly comment how unusual it is to have such an accessible and engaging exhibition for visitors of all ages and profiles. Easy Tiger also developed designs that were sustainable for our organisation to manage over the longer term.
It was a real pleasure to work with all the team at Easy Tiger who took time to get to know our project group and understand our aims and objectives ‘from the inside’. While they worked with us, it felt like they were part of our team, rather than external consultants. All members of Easy Tiger Creative were responsive and easy to liaise with throughout the project. They were flexible and strong at problem-solving. Importantly, I believe they maximised the potential of, while staying within, our budget to deliver an excellent visitor experience in The Big Story exhibition.
I am pleased to be able to recommend Easy Tiger Creative in the highest possible terms.”
Sylvie Verinder, Project Manager for the Visitor Centre at the Ardley Energy Recovery Centre
Viridor Waste Management Ltd
“The project was delivered, on time, within budget, was innovative and creative and award winning. It was nominated for the CIWM Sustainability Award and went on to be a talking point not only with children, communities but government bodies, foreign delegations and professional organisations. One centre had multiple audience appeal. This was down to the synergy between ourselves as client and Easy Tiger as interpreter and designer. Easy Tiger have a unique skill as story tellers which is what I believe sets them apart from their competitors. They really get under the skin of the subject matter and see it through multiple lenses.
The Centre has been deemed World class in its field. Testimonies to this claim can be provided if required. The concept itself has reached way beyond the enjoyment of the visitor and has catalysed investment in the technology which has since been adopted in 15 countries following visits to the plant and the centre. Whilst we cannot claim that the Visitor Centre alone was responsible for such decisions, they have stated it was certainly instrumental in supporting the decision. Viridor stated that the centre delivered Ardley (£205 million investment) as “the window to the Company”. It also helped to secure further capital investment in the £1.7 billion UK infrastructure investment.
This demonstrates how well Easy Tiger worked together with the client to understand their needs.
This is due to the following aspects of how Easy Tiger Creative work with their clients:
- They are abundantly clear on their process and inclusive and have absolute clarity in their communications
- They are exceptionally professional whilst being personable, fun and a pleasure to work with.
- They can interpret the needs of their client to an extent which I have never experienced within this field before.
- They understand how to deliver a solution which will work for multiple audiences in terms of messaging, engagement and take-aways
- For me, their USP is their ability to tell stories with their subject matter which will resonate with their intended audiences.
They listen intently to the needs of the client and seek absolute clarity before forging ahead. - They work fairly and in a balanced and professional way with all stakeholders and manage different organisations’ agendas in a pragmatic, logical fashion to ensure the whole “design and build machine” runs smoothly (e.g. suppliers, build teams etc.)
- They ensure all contracts and agreements are transparent and clear.
I cannot recommend them highly enough and will go to them as first port of call for all my future projects.“
Kate & Mark Watt, Directors Watt Whisky
We are absolutely delighted with the branding that Easy Tiger Creative produced for our new whisky brand, Watt Whisky. Having had a in-depth meeting about what we wanted our company to stand for Easy Tiger Creative took us in a different direction to what we had initially thought of, focusing on our key ethos – taste. The use of the taste bud design has given us clear added brand value that allows us to tell our story and how it differs to others in a crowded market place. The strong brand image, and flexibility of the taste bud device – allowing us to use the same branding for different spirit categories – has greatly contributed to the higher-than-anticipated profitability of our fledgling company.”
Stephen Laing, Curator The British Motor Museum
“It’s crucial that your designer is in tune with the vision for your project. Bren and Nick quickly understood the stories we wanted to tell in the museum. The look and feel of their final design was fresh, modern and in keeping with that vision. A small, friendly team that had taken time to embrace our themes and our collections and made it easy to develop ideas.”
John O’Neill, Global Marketing Manager, Technology & Healthcare
PA Consulting Group
“I have worked with Easy Tiger Creative on a number of projects over the last few years. Without question they are one of the very best companies I have worked with in terms of delivering creative solutions in the exhibition design and client / customer experience areas. What has impressed me most is the way Easy Tiger look to understand the business needs carefully and then present some really creative solutions to fulfil these. They are extremely approachable and receptive people to work with and are always looking to provide an end product that fully satisfies the customer.
They have surpassed my expectations each time and their products for PA have stood the test of time. I am very pleased to provide a strong and positive recommendation.”
Grant Reid, Project Director Natural History Museum
“It has been my pleasure to work with Easy Tiger for over 3 years. They have been repeatedly selected in contests against other designers for the design of our temporary exhibitions. As a buyer of design services in the heritage and visitor engagement sector, I cannot fault the professional nature in which they carry out their work. As well as delivering brilliant and practical 2D and 3D design services in narration, content and overall exhibition design.
Confident and skilled at presentation and communicating their ideas to challenging stakeholders they are a real asset in gaining understanding and approval.
They listen to feedback and are able to manage design change quickly and without fuss. They maintain and appear to develop ever broader skills and are superb in product design and all the other facets of exhibition and retail delivery.
They have recently designed 3 versions of our annual summer Butterfly Exhibition, Wild Planet and have also designed product ranges for the retail department at the NHM.”
Clive Izard, Head of Creative Services The British Library
“Working with Easy Tiger has always been a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Their great strength is in interpreting a complex brief and delivering effective exhibition solutions which deliver both the client and user needs.
As well as having a great aptitude for design and interpretation Easy Tiger are in command of integrating advanced technical components into their exhibitions which enhance the visitor experience as well as deliver additional layers of content.”
Anna Salaman, Head of Formal Learning National Maritime Museum
“The National Maritime Museum has worked on a number of projects with Easy Tiger Creative, including the design and installation of the Halley’s Holiday exhibition at the Royal Observatory, design of printed learning materials for a variety of audiences and design of retail merchandise for the Museum’s shop. They are currently working with us to redesign the Museum’s online Learning pages.
Our experience of Easy Tiger has been overwhelmingly positive.
Their creative design solutions are audience-focused while being wholly sympathetic to the needs and parameters set by the Museum, they offer a wealth of experience and ensure consistently strong communication between studio and client.
I would highly recommend employing Easy Tiger Creative.”
Jennifer Scott, Director Dulwich Picture Gallery
“Now that Rembrant’s Light has closed here at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, I am writing toexpress my heartfelt gratitude to you for contributing to the exhibition. We have had a fantastic response from the public, with overwhelmingly positive feedback about the special lighting, the emotional impact of the interpretation, and the exceptional quality of the works on display. In addition, Rembrant’s Light received an outstanding critical response:
The Evening Standard awarded the exhibition 5-stars and called in “Unmissable”.
The Guardian praised the profound use of darkness and illumination”.
The Mail on Sunday noted how the exhibition succeeded “…in drawing you into Rembrant’s world, and showing how humane and daring this greatest of artists was”.
The Times listed it in its top five exhibitions of 2019 and commented that “the full drama of Rembrant… is brought quite literally to light in a triumph of curatorship”.
Thank you for your generosity and support, which enabled us to create this fitting tribute to the bold genius of Rembrandt in his special anniversary year.
Wow! We did it! Thank you for your stunning creative vision. The show was immersive and emotionally engaging, exactly as I had dreamed… thanks to you”
Aileen Tennant, Discovery and Learning Manager
Dublin Zoo
“Working with Easy Tiger Creative on Zoorassic World was a fantastic journey. Nick and Bren brought tried and tested experience and excellent design ideas to our education vision for Zoorassic World. Their broad experience in design, interpretation and education allowed the project to be one of the finest education spaces that Dublin Zoo has delivered. The wide media coverage and feedback on review platforms from our visitors are testament to this. Our informal education programmes have been a huge success since their launch this autumn from our state-of-the-art dinosaur discovery site. The immersive programme for young learners sparks scientific curiosity and further excitement about dinosaurs! Teachers and parents have equally been excited by the experience of stepping into a working palaeontology dig site.
It was with great pleasure to work with Nick and Bren and their extended team on such an exciting project in Dublin Zoo.”
Erica Munro, Exhibitions Manager Bletchley Park Trust
“Working with Easy Tiger has been a very positive and fun experience – their knowledge and professionalism is coupled with an ability to really listen to their clients. Their design approach has brought our initial ideas to life, responding closely to our brief but developing and strengthening the concept with flair and creative vision. Their interrogation and consideration of the visitor experience has made all the difference. Due to their clarity of design and appreciation for longevity and operation of the exhibition, we have a rigorously-designed, meaningful, rich and enjoyable gallery which has received praise from visitors, staff and sponsors alike.”
Michael Walton, Head of Trading London Transport Museum
“Working with you has been an unalloyed joy, and as well as contributing to the Museum’s future fortunes, I also hope that our partnership will bring great benefits to your rather excellent business. I have not the slightest hesitation in recommending you wholeheartedly to any would be client.”
Susan Dymond, Harry Potter, a history of magic, Project Manager
The British Library
“Easy Tiger designed the British Library’s Harry Potter exhibition, which opened in 2017. Their original concept really captured the drama and excitement of the stories, and they were full of ideas for fun interventions for audiences of all ages. The project was a complex one with multiple stakeholders but the team remained committed to the end product and we enjoyed the creative process. The finished exhibition was widely applauded by visitors and reviewers, and became the British Library’s most popular exhibition to date.”
Jess Harris, Head of Touring Exhibitions The Natural History Museum
“Easy Tiger have been great to work with, delivering a practical design solution for Wild Planet brand, touring exhibition, retail outlet and product range within budget and on time. The team were good at responding creatively to a brief that was at times technically challenging and needed to work across several platforms.”
Tristram Hunt, BBC Radio 4 Front Row Taking Liberties, British Library
“This is a great exhibition, really well told, well put together. It has a narrative arc, and it just has such riches within it – I can’t say it enough really: if you’re interested in history, if you’re interested in the discussion of British liberties, you’ve got to get down to the British Library. Whether it’s the Petition of Right, whether it’s the suffragette diaries, whether it’s the Hogarth prints… it’s just a plethora of historical constitutional riches. It’s a very sophisticated, but also accessible exhibition. You come away with the wonder, and you can wallow in it, and be challenged by it…”
Joan Bakewell, New Statesman Taking Liberties, British Library
“Wake-up call.
The exhibition itself is brilliant. People are queuing to see the… myriad pages of paper and ink that have made us who we are and able to sleep soundly in our beds without fear of arbitrary imprisonment without trial. Or so I think. Shami [Chakrabarti] soon puts me right…”
Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, the Independent Taking Liberties, British Library
“Go see the exhibition at the British Library on liberty, the historical periods when the citizens of this small, plucky island fought and died for basic rights and freedoms. Your eyes will well up. Mine did, as they did at yesterday’s remembrance ceremonies.”
MyLondonYourLondon.com
“The relevant in the room.
Innovative… highly attractive… When you look at an early version of the Magna Carta, with the debate over 42 days detention echoing in your ears from a nearby screen, then this is a genuine, unmistakable case of history being relevant to today.”
Nicola Sullivan, Museums Association Being Brunel
“Being Brunel is an overwhelming success because, much like its subject, it strives to break new ground and pays painstaking attention to detail. It is also a great showcase for creative
museum design”
Sau-Fun Mo, Head of Design, Presentation & Environment
London Transport Museum
“I can confirm that Easy Tiger have worked with London Transport Museum since 2003, during which time they have provided an excellent service in the areas of exhibition design & installation, 2D graphics, 3D solutions and other large display formats.
Their 3D input was a major part of the Museum’s recent ‘Suburbia’ exhibition which won a ‘highly commended’ award in the temporary exhibition category at the 2010 Museum & Heritage Show awards.
I can confidently recommend Easy Tiger as a solid and reliable supplier, and experts in their field.”
Mike Sarna, Head of Interpretation, The Natural History Museum
“The Natural History Museum and Easy Tiger have worked on numerous projects over the past few years. I have worked directly with them on our butterfly exhibitions and Wild Planet touring photographic show. Their team is creative, flexible and responsive to working to tight timeframes and budgets. They are also successful working with stakeholder groups and communicating with fabricators. They understand our brand and communication style and ensure exhibitions meet the needs of our audiences.”
